This
convertible's factory options make it a a drop-top muscle
car. Equipped with a 351C-4V, Toploader 4-speed, Traction-loc rearend,
and competition suspension, it has the necessary goodies to make some go
fast
power and put it to the ground. |

Produced on June 16, 1971
and sold to Babylon Ford in New York, this convertible was equipped with
a nice balance of performance and convenience options. When purchased by
the current owner, it was wearing all of its original trim and equipment and
about 75% of its original paint, but it showed the wear and tear of its
119,000 miles, including several New York Winters. The original,
VIN-stamped drivetrain was tired and there was evidence of previous rust repair
patchwork that needed to be redone. With only 183 four-speed
convertibles produced in 1971, it was decided that the car was worthy of a complete restoration.
