1971 Convertible

This convertible's factory options make it a a drop-top muscle car. Equipped with a 351C-4V, Toploader 4-speed, Traction-loc rearend, and competition suspension, it has the necessary goodies to make some go fast power and put it to the ground.

Before After

Produced on June 16, 1971 and sold to Babylon Ford in New York, this convertible was equipped with a nice balance of performance and convenience options. When purchased by the current owner, it was wearing all of its original trim and equipment and about 75% of its original paint, but it showed the wear and tear of its 119,000 miles, including several New York Winters. The original, VIN-stamped drivetrain was tired and there was evidence of previous rust repair patchwork that needed to be redone. With only 183 four-speed convertibles produced in 1971, it was decided that the car was worthy of a complete restoration.
